A Grey Goshawk swooped in and settled on a branch outside my office window today. He had clutched in his feet an unfortunate bird, caught on the wing perhaps, he then proceeded to pull strips off it or defeather it (not sure as it was a fair distance away). Oh well, that’s life. It scared the bejeebers out of the birds that frequent our verandah, however(emerald doves, king parrots, peaceful doves, rainbow lorikeets, lewins, macleays, bridled honeyeaters).
